Spring has been extraordinarily beautiful in Southern Az this year. It was in the 80s last week when in previous years it has already been 100 degrees by March!
But…. this week we have finally hit the 100s. I guess not reaching 100 degrees until the middle of May is a pretty good deal.
I have friends who live in other places who often ask me how we survive the heat. To some, it might seem like our little desert becomes almost uninhabitable during the hottest of the summer months, but we desert dwellers have many ways we cope with, and actually enjoy our little patch of the world.
For us, it’s a mix of early mornings and evenings outside playing, hunkering down during the day, and lots of fluid and water, plus a few little necessities like making sure cooling pillows and blankets like the ones from Marchpower are a part of your life!
