This summer, my youngest daughter went to church camp, and one of the activities they did was make sugar scrub. She loved it and used every last bit of it! When she asked if we could make some more, I suggested we give it a little fall twist.
We looked through our collection of Young Living essential oils together and settled on Cinnamon Roll. Have you guys ever smelled this oil? It’s like all the best things about fall in a bottle—warm, sweet, and just a little bit cozy.
This sugar scrub is incredibly easy to make, and I love that you can adjust it to whatever consistency you like. I prefer my scrubs on the creamy side, but if you like a coarser scrub, simply use a little less coconut oil.

Cinnamon Roll Sugar Scrub
You’ll need:
-
1/4 cup white sugar
-
About 1 tablespoon coconut oil
-
6–7 drops Young Living Cinnamon Roll essential oil
-
A small container with a lid
This is the essential oil we used, if you’re interested! And if you’d like to try any Young Living products, just let me know—I’d be happy to help you get connected.
To make it:
Mix the sugar and coconut oil together until well combined. Add 6–7 drops of Cinnamon Roll essential oil and mix again.
If you want a creamier scrub, add a little more coconut oil. For a thicker, more coarse scrub, use a little less. That’s one of my favorite things about making your own—you can adjust it until it’s just the way you like it.
Scoop it into your container, add a cute label if you’d like, and you’re done!

There’s just something about a homemade sugar scrub that makes it a little more special, especially when it starts with a fun memory. I love that something my daughter made at camp this summer inspired us to create a new version together for fall.
It’s simple, it smells amazing, and it makes a sweet little homemade treat for yourself—or a thoughtful gift for a friend. And honestly, who couldn’t use a little more cozy cinnamon in their day?

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’d love to hear from you—leave me a comment and tell me your favorite kind of DIY sugar scrub. You might just inspire my next creation!
Love,
Jen
