Cue music!
So, in last week’s Mommy Reality Challenge, Jen took us to a deeeep… dark… disturbing place with her chosen theme of “What Lies Beneath”… our couches!
We certainly saw plenty! Crumbs, pens, toys, cats…
-CATS?!
You all helped Jen, Celeste, and last week’s special co-host Debbie feel a sense of relief that we weren’t alone in our couch-cleaning neglect! But as usual, we could only pick one winner!
The winner of Mommy Reality Challenge #15 is…
The mama with the chicken and toothbrush stuffed in her couch! Echo, from Domain of the Mad Mommy! You never know when you’ll need some couch-potato snacking and oral-hygiene tidying on the fly while watching flicks. Good thinking, Echo, stuffing those emergency couch-potato provisions in there!
Here is your meme!
So, Echo, since you’re the winner, you now have the opportunity to join the Mommy Reality team by co-hosting next week’s post! We hope you’ll accept!
Our runner-up position goes to Lysa from Welcome to My Circus but I Wouldn’t Have It Any Other Way. We loved the “Santa, Stop Here” sign shoved into the crack of the couch. That invitation looks SO welcoming!
(See, Jen…I’m awesome at Picmonkey too! – Celeste)
Time for the next challenge!

A few weeks ago we announced a change to our format! The winner of our Mommy Reality Challenge would get to join the Mommy Reality Team for the following week as our co-host!
Introducing this week’s co-hosts!
Leilani and Emily from Just a Touch of Crazy

As a reminder, Leilani won the Junk Drawer Photo Challenge.
Leilani and Emily are wickedly-funny, sister-in-laws and best friends who collaborate in writing Just a Touch of Crazy as a means to share stories about how they’re surviving (and enjoying) motherhood.
Our new mommy reality challenge theme: “The last thing I spent money on was…”!
A little insider-scoop about how the Mommy Reality Challenge posts work; Celeste and Jen each alternate writing it every week and then pass the HTML code for the post to the other person and the special co-host so everybody can post the post in their blogs at the same time each Friday morning. The person who writes the post for the week also picks the theme and puts a little example photo on the post.
Well, it was Celeste’s turn this week, and although, we all know the whole point of “Mommy Reality” is to showcase real life AS IS, she couldn’t help but think, “Hmm, I wonder what funny and entertaining purchase I could make to take a pic and post on my blog”. However, as life tends to do, it threw a curve-ball and she was out all day, so her last purchase was actually Happy Meals for her kids because they needed to eat on-the-go! So she was a good Mommy Reality team member and didn’t break the rules after all. (And because of all of this, she is also up typing this at 2 am feeling really loopy for talking about herself in the 3rd person).
We are nosy, so now we want to see the last thing you spent money on!
