I received a copy of Santa Bruce from Disney Book Group in order to facilitate a review and giveaway, but all thoughts and opinions expressed in this blog post are entirely my own.
It is no secret that Mother Bruce is pretty much a book hero of legendary proportions around here. I think Bruce is the spirit animal that very closely resembles my husband Jen’s Guy personality. He is a softie in a big grumpy bear persona. I think if there were a character meet and greet with Bruce he would be the first to sign up for it. Go ahead and think on that one Disney.
Anyways, guess what? Just in time for the holidays, Bruce is ready take Christmas head-on as Santa Bruce. Kind of…
Bruce is a lot of things. He is a bear. He is a grump. He is a pretty decent cook. And he is a mother. One thing Bruce is not? Santa Claus. But that doesn’t stop the whole forest from lining up to give him their Christmas wishes when he becomes the victim of mistaken identity—again. Kids will howl with laughter as award-winning author-illustrator Ryan T. Higgins delivers another hilarious story about this bear who just can’t catch a break.
We have now read Santa Bruce about a few dozen times and I still laugh every time. And my daughter Anneliese pretty much wants to move next door to Bruce and his family. She also wants to put up our tree right now…..
So today I am excited to announce a brand new giveaway! One lucky JENerally Informed reader is going to pick up their own copy of Santa Bruce!
