If this is your first time hearing about the Mommy Reality Challenge we are so glad you are joining this great community of moms who participate in our bi-weekly challenges that showcase all the fun, crazy, and sometimes overwhelming moments that are in every mom’s life!

The Rules are Simple!
- We will announce the theme.
- You will write a post or take a pic, post it to the social media account of your choice with the hashtag #mommyreality and then link it up to this blog post!
- Then in two weeks, we will announce our favorites and award a meme to the winner. The winner can then co-host the next challenge with us!
Just a little background on how our challenges are selected- Jen and Celeste take turns writing the post and creating the winning meme from the last challenge.
This time it’s Jen’s turn to write the post and she is writing it with a 100 degree fever, a sick toddler on her lap and a sick 7 year old lounging on the couch.

Anyway, we want to give a BIG thank you to everyone for the Mommy Reality “Birthday” wishes we received during this last challenge now that we have achieved the ripe old age of 30 challenges and all!
We especially want to say THANK YOU to everyone who submitted their ‘Dat Look pics and posts for this last challenge. We even had one dad. It was pretty epic!
But, there can only be one winner and the winner of Mommy Reality Challenge #30 is April of Stories of our Boys!

Mommy Reality 31: A Room With A View
When I was younger one of my most favorite romantic movies to watch was A Room With a View.
As only the young can, I would fantasize what the perfect view from my room should be. Would it be Paris, Venice, the woods, the beach? Over the years my opinion on my favorite view has changed.
Nowadays it seems though that my favorite view is the one right in my own backyard. Because home tends to be where the heart is.
So to open this challenge here is the view from my second story balcony looking out into my backyard. We live right next to a desert and open wash area where there is a whole thriving ecosystem. Not limited to, but including frogs, snakes, lizards, owls, hawks, coyotes and javelinas.
Some nights we can hear the coyotes hunting and their cries are terror inducing! The school my children attend can be seen in the far distance of this picture below and last week as we walked to school a coyote chased us! My son has taken to walking now with a baseball bat. Never a dull moment.
