My 9-year-old daughter is a crafter; typically, on Sunday afternoon she and I have some extra time to craft together. This week I asked her what she wanted to make and she said something to wear in her hair for Valentine’s Day.
I looked through my craft supplies and happily, I found something we could make! I almost feel embarrassed to share because these headbands are so easy to make, but I think those are just the kind of crafts we should share. Easy and pain-free! Plus ones our kids can make on their own should get extra credit.
You need only a handful of materials to make these. Most of which I had lying around the house. Hopefully you do too, but a quick trip to any dollar store will help you gather what you need!
Here is your materials list:
I used fabric-covered headbands from the dollar store, 3 variations of pink felt-colored pieces, a good pair of fabric scissors, and fabric glue.
I handled the gluing and my daughter cut out 3 hearts, making sure each one fit inside the bigger heart. Then she worked on the placement of the heart. She wanted the heart to be a little more jauntily placed on the headband and to the side above her ear. We applied a strip of glue onto the headband and stuck it on the heart. Voila, finito!
It literally took about 5 minutes to make, and now she has a super cute headband to start wearing to school!
I hope you enjoyed this easy-to-make craft! You can check out this easy-to-make hair accessory HERE.
Thanks for stopping in!
