There are only 2 more days left in the month of November, and if your family is anything like mine, you probably already have your tree up. Because it takes so much work to get that thing out that I put it up early enough to get the most bang for my decorating buck!
This isn’t my tree by the way. Although in years past I have gated mine, but this is the tree at a local mall we visited this weekend for a snow fall event. I know the rest of the world bemoans snow, but down here in the great Southwest we load up the family and drive to places we can participate in snow fall events.
Even if the snow turns out to be less snow-like and is more bubble-like it’s still cool.
Heh, but at least it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Anyways, I have 2 fun things to share with all of you!
First, I would love it if you would mark on your calendar right now a virtual Holiday cookie and treat exchange party I will be hosting right here on JENerally Informed next Monday, December 5th! Come link up and share your most favorite Holiday treat recipe, because the world needs more cookies, treats and love, but sweet treats are at least a great start.
Jammies are welcome, since it can all take place in the privacy of your online world. Pretty brilliant if I do say so myself….
And lastly, I have created a fun, new Holiday inspired printable just for all of you my most favorite bloggy readers EVER. So grab it now and enjoy!
Hugs and Happy Holidays!
Love,
Jen
Go ahead and share this post, you know you want to!

Hehehe, they have that fake snow bubble stuff at Disneyland.. I know it is lame, but it is quite literally one of my favorite parts of Christmas here in no snow Cali! lol! – http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com

It was awesome, and so much less messy than real snow. So I say love away on that bubbly magic!

I love Christmas, but not the decorating anymore. No more decorations here. Okay, we’re too old for ladders too. We used to do it up bit though. Three trees and all the lights. It’s a wonder we didn’t blow a fuse.
Have a fabulous day. ☺

I hear you! It is a lot of freaking work. Get a nice poinsettia and maybe a live wreath and I would be good to go. P.S. Hubs, puts up the lights today. Wish us luck….

Sounds like you had a lovely time at the snow fall event! Love the printable – too cute. And I’m always looking for new fun sweets to make, so I like the idea of this virtual exchange.

My tree is not up yet; I don’t like to put it up too early! We have had a mild fall here in Northern Illinois; only rain and no snow.

That is good to hear. It got down to freezing last night here. That is way too early for the dessert! Good luck getting that tree up :)

I’m thinking about gating my tree, and it’s only been up for about 6 hours! That poor thing isn’t going to have any needles left by the time my 2-year-old is finished with it…

Yep, one year we put it behind the couch so that the toddler couldn’t get to it. You could see like 1/4 of it. That’s Christmas with kids!

It’s the best time of the year! I will do my darndest to remember to link something up!
Yes mam, and I am trying to be less Scroogey. It’s slow coming, but loads of sweet treats will make the world better all around. Hope you can join in :)

Seeing how magical Christmas is for the kids is by far, my favorite part of the holidays! So cute.
The virtual cookie exchange sounds awesome. :)
Kids really are the best part of the holidays, except for over tired ones. That is no fun to be had by anyone :)

You and your printables rock!
We did put our tree up. I love putting it up and having it, but somehow, when it’s January 1st or 2nd and it comes down, that feels pretty amazing too!
We live near Yankee Candle headquarters and they have soap bubbles that “snow” every four minutes!

I agree, cleaning the junk off the counter and starting fresh does feel good! We got the lights up yesterday and most of our shopping is done. How did that happen? I am usually the poor sod hitting the stores on December 24th and this year I owe all my thanks to Amazon for saving me from that fate :)

Hi Jen, how fun does a snow event sound? I’d never get anything done though as I would be trailing from one event to the next! Christmas is my favourite time of the year, but our Decorations don’t go up until mid December, and I can’t wait!
I’m hoping to redo a couple my Christmas shortbread recipe (or the photos at least), hopefully, it will be ready for your linky!
xx

I’m trying to figure out how these Pinterest Parties work? (says the ancient blogger with an Iphone 1 and still using MySpace). Sigh. I really wanted to do your virtual cookie exchange.

Hey, it’s still open. Come over if you want! Plus I have never owned an iPhone. Android girl all the way. So maybe that means we can be ancient together :)

Thank you! Oh believe me I have had Christmas seasons like that too. One year, we gave up and went out and bought a little mini tabletop one, because the big one just wasn’t going to happen!

Given that I went 40 years before I ever witnessed a White Christmas (and the one I saw was anemic at best), I’ll take snow however I can get it — fake or not! Love to see the big smiles…so cute. #happynowlinkup
