I am a snack-a-holic, and yes that is a real word. At least if it isn’t, it should be….
Most of us are familiar with the whole idea of choosing between good, better and best and I think that whole philosophy can be directly applied to your snack choices. So today I am excited to share with you the BEST cool summer snack I am totally digging on right now! It has a double thumbs up rating from all of the JENerally Informed family members and that is kind of a big deal around here.
I really think you are going to love it!
Recently, I came across Outshine® Fruit and Simply Yogurt Bars. They are absolutely delicious! When you bite into one, the first thing you taste are the bright flavors of real fruit, real juice, real veggies and real yogurt. I am in love with them.
For more than 20 years, Outshine® has been making delicious fruit bars out of ingredients like sweet strawberries, ripe mangoes and juicy peaches. Plus Outshine® is GMO-free in nearly half of their products, and by the end of the year they are aiming to be GMO-free in nearly all of their bars.
Double love!
I feel comfortable enough with all of you to admit that after my first Outshine® Simply Yogurt Bar I kind of, sort of, might have hit my local Walmart again and stocked the freezer.
So are you ready to check out my summer snack creations? Get ready, they are GOOD!
The creation you see above is made with the Strawberry Outshine® Simply Yogurt Bars and is super easy to make. Check it out:
- Fill a mug or bowl with your favorite vanilla yogurt.
- Top with cut up pieces of a Strawberry Outshine® Simply Yogurt Bar.
- Finish off your masterpiece with fresh slices of strawberry and granola or Chia seeds!
If you give your mug of deliciousness just a minute, then all of that delicious Outshine® Simply Yogurt goodness will blend in with your vanilla yogurt base and make your first bite pretty much the most amazing thing ever! I think I could pretty much live off of this all summer.
Now because I love all of you guys, I also wanted to share with you a bonus and equally delicious recipe that I made with Outshine® Peach Simply Yogurt Bars!
To make a peach and blueberry yogurt snack; simply follow the same directions as the strawberry recipe above, only this time add cut up pieces of the Peach Outshine® Simply Yogurt Bar and blueberries to your favorite vanilla yogurt.
Of course make sure to top it with your favorite granola or Chia seeds!
Pretty sweet, right?!

What a cool idea. (see what I did there?) I love Outshine but I haven’t tried the yogurt bars yet. I want to badly. Maybe tonight! I think the bars are superior to any other brand.

Do it! Yep, and since it is summer. That might be the most clothing the store clerk has seen on a person all day. Do not ask me what happened when I went to the store yesterday…. :)

I would love to try those bars. They look yummy. I’ll probably just eat them vs. getting creative with them, though!!

I love the idea of cutting up the bar and serving with blueberries or other finger fruits. GENIUS. I also love that Outshine has no high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors. Yay.
