I am so happy the groundhog didn’t see his shadow and predicted an early winter – just hope he is right, because we all know I am truly not a fan of the winter by any means. But still while it last going to have to try your scrub now :)

Me too! It has been down right cold here! I am talking highs of like 40’s! That is apocalypse weather for the desert! Hope you guys warm up soon too :)

Great ideas here. Winter is so hard on us isn’t it. I know I sure take a beating.
Have a fabulous day and bring on spring. ☺

Thanks! The sun is kind of hard too, but right now our Southern Az. cold snap with highs in the 50’s is killing my skin. Time to moisturize!

Fun stuff! I have psoriasis do I have the extra ace up my sleeve… Steroid cream. Ha!! Now that stuff works. What side effects? I love gaining weight and getting osteoporosis. Totally kidding. I have a sick sense of humor. ?

Haha! My kids always like hearing the side effects on commercials for medication and then will repeat them back to me. The “May cause sever diarrhea” is one of their personal favorite side effects to quote.

My son’s lips get so chapped in the winter time. He tries all sorts of stuff, but he won’t believe when I tell him to drink more water. That’s the best way to help!

True, true. I say the same to my kids, but my hands from the dryness and the dishes and constant washing are just not responding to my increased H2o intake. Darn hands! :)

I have super dry skin year round, but winter takes it to another level. When my husband kindly offers to rub my feet, I’m like, “What – NO! – Run! Save yourself!” Because they are hideous until May.
Haha! That is exactly what it is like during the winter!! Well until it hits heinously hot down here, like one billion degrees and that is a whole new level of skin woes!

Thank goodness that little rodent didn’t see his shadow! My lips have been more chapped this year than I can ever remember. Definitely need to take a look at the lip remedy.

Dang! H2o and some of that chapped lip remedy should do the trick! This week we haven’t gotten past 50 degrees. That is like end of the world cold for this time of year!

Hi Jen, I’ve been promising myself a face mask in the hope of kicking some life back into my skin, but haven’t quite got there yet; the coconut oil and honey face mask sounds perfect and I just happen to have both ingredients at hand.
I’d be like a woman possessed if I were to knock up some whipped chocolate body butter! I’m not sure it would even be a safe thing for me to use.

I know right? Gone are the days of those smelly old concoctions that we used to have to put on our faces and feet! Blech! My mom used to have this terrible smelling face cream when I was little that she would use for dry skin. I think it might have killed brain cells so you just thought your skin was soft :)

Heh, we did the listerine thing but used the brown colored one.
This has been a topic of conversation down here even in Florida. My brother-in-law moved to California and is having skin problems from the dryness. We have been talking coconut oil, but I always hate the smell of it on myself.

Did the brown Listerine foot soak work? I think if you mix the coconut oil with other things it smells less potent. The straight stuff is a little gooey too. I am a fan of any of these body butters that look like I could eat them!

I’m am not much of a DIY person, but my friends and I made some sugar scrubs at a birthday gathering recently. Everything came out great and then later I felt it needed some coconut oil. This was a fun activity and it had the whole house smelling good. Worked good on my feet, too! :)
