Gifting A Memory This Holiday Season

I am the youngest child in a large, loving and wonderfully diverse family. Some of my older brothers and sisters were already married and just beginning families of their own when I was born. When I was growing up I used to laughingly explain that sometimes it felt like I had multiple sets of parents because of the unique design of my family. And of course as the years have passed and I now have my own little family, my brothers and sisters are my best friends. Because for me family is everything.

My sister Nicki and I have a special bond. We talk several times a day every day and as we have gone through the rocky transition of caring care for our elderly mother, I could not have imagined doing it without her. She is also the best Tia ever. Just in case you didn’t know, Tia is the Spanish word for Aunt.

Every year I try to buy her something meaningful for Christmas to show her how grateful I am for her. This year I decided to gift her a Vera Wang Embrace Fragrance Set from COTY. Fragrance and smells are such a central part of some of my most treasured memories and so my hope is that as she puts this fragrance on she will be reminded of the bond and mutual love we share and also that it becomes a gift to help her make new memories.

I found my Vera Wang gift set at my local Walgreens and it came in such a cute package! There are several other gift Vera Wang set options available; Vera Wang Signature, Princess, Forever Vera, Lovestruck and Bejeweled. I of course picked out the sparkly silver Embrace gift set, because I knew my sister would love it!

I am so excited and can hardly wait to give it to her for Christmas! For me that has always been one of the best parts of Christmas, giving to others and I know she will absolutely love what I picked out for her. Who wouldn’t?

So this Holiday season why not start a new tradition and give the gift of fragrance to someone on your list? This makes holiday gift giving so much less hectic for you and helps ensure that you find the perfect fragrance gift set for everyone on your list! 1. I love the sparkly silver one too!
I have two sisters and there’s nothing like that bond. Of course, both are pregnant with their first babies so the excitement is about to grow very much!
Vera Wang rocks. I have three of her scents.

  2. I’ve not worn a fragrance in years. Worked with someone with a horrible allergy so quit using my precious fragrance. Then I just got out of the habit.

I’m sure your sister will love this gift. You’re right, who wouldn’t.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

Thank you! I hear you, sometimes just showering is a process and I almost always forget to add the perfume. I love them though so now I am trying to be more deliberate in remembering to apply some of my most favorite scents too!

  3. Those make such wonderful gifts! That’s the kind of stuff I love receiving. And yes I’m part of a large family too, though probably not as large as yours (five of us). But yeah, my older sisters feel like pseudo-moms to me because they took care of us younger ones too!

    1. I really love hearing about the dynamics of other families. Five is a big family. Interesting, but inadvertently I created a similarly type structured family. My oldest is 14 and my youngest is 2. The 2 year old has a whole passel of caring watchers in her life.

  4. Hi Jen, nice smellies always make a welcome gift. This year I got my Dad to get my Mum her favourite perfume in a gift set (he’s hopeless at Christmas!). I’m not familiar with Vera Wang fragrances, but will give them a sniff if I see them over here.

I am sure your sister will enjoy her gift set as much as you enjoyed buying it!

Thanks Laura! I love that angel figurine. It was my Grandma’s and as a little girl I had always wanted it. I was so happy the day she gave it to me.
