…Hmm?! Oh -erm.. sorry, don’t mind us! We were just making good use of our time while waiting for you to open the latest Mommy Reality post!
But now that you’re here, welcome to the latest edition of Mommy Reality hosted by:
Jen from JENerally Informed and Celeste from Leapfrog and Lipgloss!!!
If this is your first time hearing about the Mommy Reality Challenge we are so glad you are joining this great community of moms who participate in our bi-weekly challenges that showcase all the fun, crazy, and sometimes overwhelming moments that are in every mom’s life!
Please don’t just read. This is an INTERACTIVE post! Come join in all the fun!
The Rules are Simple!
- We will announce the theme.
- You will write a post or take a pic, post it to the social media account of your choice with the hashtag #mommyreality and then link it up to this blog post!
- Then in two weeks, we will announce our favorites and award a meme to the winner. The winner can then co-host the next challenge with us!
Just a little background on how our challenges are selected- Jen and Celeste take turns writing the post and creating the winning meme from the last challenge.
This week it’s Celeste’s turn! So, let’s get down!!
Last week, Jen asked us all to look out our windows and snap a photo of our view! We saw some gorgeous backyards in all kinds of weather, but there can be only one winner!
The winner of Mommy Reality Challenge 31: A Room with a View is…
Jennifer of The Deliberate Mom!
Last week… a beautiful thing happened. A Target shopping cart happened to roll along the walkway outside Jennifer’s townhouse when she looked outside the window to snap a pic, and I was so jealous because I love Target, that I had to declare her the winner!
So, Congratulations, Jennifer! Here is your meme, and we hope you join us in two weeks to co-host with us!
Our runner-up position goes to Patty from A Mother’s Random Thoughts because- well- this was her view outside:
‘Nuff said.
Thank you to all of the participants of this challenge (we had some really great ones!) and special thanks to our fabulous co-host Gingi from Domestic Geek Girl!
You can check out all of the other Mommy Reality memes on on our tumblr page.

Yay, I hope you can link up :)
Sometimes it seems more like determining what is actually working right in our homes than the other way around!! Right now my refrigerator sounds like a chicken and I have no idea why!

Woohoo! Target for the win! LOL
Okay, now everyone knows I live in the slums….
I hope people will look upon the Target shopping cart and think “if only”. May it inspire others to work hard and be steadfast… eventually, one day, we will live in a world where everyone gets their own Target shopping cart.
Seriously though, thanks ladies.
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
xoxo

Oh that view is stunning, breathtaking and when the sunrise or sunset happens I cannot imagine the amazing glint as the red of the sun and the cart mesh together…..
It really is an ‘if only” kind of picture!
You are the best and I am so happy to have you on the #mommyreality train again, you busy lady. I will try and come up with something good for the next challenge!

Bedside table! Bedtime table! *cough, cough* Mine is a disaster… I would love to know if others are as messy as me.

Ooooh, that is a GREAT idea!
Jen recently posted…Mommy Reality #32: Broken
Our master shower is broken. Well, it’s not really broken it just doesn’t have hot water. The rest of the house does, but not the master shower. Need to get that fixed.
What a delightful meme. Tons of fun.
Have a fabulous day. ☺

Eek, no hot water!! Is it warm right now where you live, because even in Southern Az it would make for a miserable morning to have to shower in cold water! Here’s to hoping you can get that fixed stat!
Jen recently posted…Mommy Reality #32: Broken
What, I have to pick just ONE thing that’s broken? Decisions, decisions.
Loving the Pee-Wee’s playhouse throwback. I grew up on that show. Watched it again as an adult and still think it’s brilliant. Insane, but brilliant. :)

I made my kids watch Pee Wee last week with me and only the 10 year old boy thought it was funny! I grew up on it as well and wanted them to enjoy it along side me! Oh well, I guess some things don’t translate so well across generations…..
We would love to have you join in the fun and share what’s broke in your neck of the woods!
Jen recently posted…Mommy Reality #32: Broken
Oh fun post! I’m sure there are plenty of things that are a bit broken around my house….we don’t have the best luck with plumbing! haha
ShootingStarsMag recently posted…Bittersweet by Kimberly Loth + Excerpt
Me either, plumbing is the bane of my existence! Last week the pipe to the washing machine burst and WOWZA what a stinking mess!
Jen recently posted…Mommy Reality #32: Broken
Ok so does broken mean burned? Because this week Lila yelled, “daddy, mommy burned dinner AGAIN.” I mean I have loads of those pics…lol! But right now I have a closet door that’s off it’s track, and a lamp that’s smashed…take your pic. (pun intended!)

Oh that is funny and a really good idea! I regularly burn dinner, lunch, breakfast….
Thankfully snacks have yet to meet their demise by burning.

The Pee Wee pictures completely transported me back to 1988! Side note: I watched Pee Wee’s Playhouse recently as an adult and could not BELIEVE that my parents sat me down in front of it on a regular basis!

I know!! He really was kind of a weirdo.both on screen and as it turns out in real life as well. I just watched the movie with my kids over spring break and truthfully they didn’t get the majority of the movie.

ha! I love the winner. I love the shopping cart too, though.
I wish I hadn’t been in my stupid data entry fog because I would have entered. Out my window is a TARDIS shed disguised by snow.

They were great pics, weren’t they?!
That is an awesome view! Do you kind of wish it could really transport your out the snow for a bit? My son says he would like to try and invent a time machine, so maybe someday :)

Ha! LOVE the Pee-Wee silliness, this whole post made me smile. I’m constantly making lists of things for our handyman to fix next time he comes around, I’ll just have to find the best one! Great challenge, I’m excited to participate!

I loved the Pee Wee fun Celeste pulled into his post! I remember what a huge part of Saturday morning his show was! Can’t wait to see what “broken-ness” you come up with!
Jen recently posted…Mommy Reality: The Good, The Bad and The Broken
I absolutely LOVE the whole Pee Wee Herman theme! I don’t think I ever missed an episode of Pee Wee’s Playhouse. Freshman year of high school we nicknamed our bus driver Large Marge… She totally hated ALL of us kids. Once she just decided to NOT come pick us up for school. Oh, and she drove directly into a fence once. Craziness!
I was secretly hoping Jennifer would win the last challenge because well, it’s Target! ;-) Target is one of the stores in my $100 Club. My sister and I came up with that because we can NEVER leave that store without spending at least $100! I have been banned from shopping there more than once a month though. LOL Congratulations Jennifer!
I’ll have to figure out what is broken around here for this challenge because for the first time like EVER everything is working… It really is a fluke because usually it seems like everything is broken. But… I know I just jinxed myself. LOL
As always, thank you for hosting #MommyReality! <3
Much love,
Lysa xx

Ooh that would have been a scary bus driver!! Plus how did she keep a job if she was that bad??
I watched the movie with my kids a few weeks ago and only the 10 year old thought it was funny, but they all did laugh at the Large Marge scene!
You are sooo right, Target is the $100 dollar store. Well that and Costco for me!
